I have followed a debate on starmind about people defending religious believes and people either not following the discussion or people ojecting those religious statements.
I remember a statistics on religion I have once seen comparing the "economic power" of individuals and the likelihood they are religious. There may also be a strong correlation between education vs economic power.
Please do not hand in any religious statments defending your viewpoint, I am really interested in facts and figures that can be examined:
* What is the correlation of, say "economic power" (salary, people above existence minumua etc) vs. "people believing in God"?
I know that a lot of US citizens believe in creation and God, yet my assumption is that within the US these people can be split into a section of high economic power and people of low economic power. Comparing the number of religious people within these groups with the financial spending power I think would provide me with interesting material I could use.
I am looking for facts and figures of maybe related investigations and research. Thank you very much.
